Elaine completed two assignments for this client which was a large national manufacturing company. The first was to lead an information and consultation exercise in relation to a site restructure. She worked with trade union representatives and line managers regarding possible redundancies. This included managing the process, dealing with all documentation, heading information and consultation meetings, producing selection criteria and carrying out selection for redundancy, hearing appeals and handing down decisions. At the same time Elaine carried out a number of operational HR activities including reducing the number of employees on long term absence and managing a disciplinary caseload.

The second assignment related to the management of a number of collective grievances at several sites and an allegation of racial harassment. Elaine managed all cases through to a successful conclusion with no further action required.
