This client was a group of small, specialist construction companies and was privately owned. The owners wanted to either float or sell and we worked with them over a period of 20 months at the end of which they successfully sold the group. We contributed to this by giving them a 3 year plan to improve management skills, improve recruitment and retention rates, set up an apprenticeship scheme, managed discipline and grievance cases and establish good employment practice. This led to an improvement in profitability and efficiency so attracting a better than expected offer for the company.
